A strong Arctic cold front is moving through eastern Oklahoma Sunday afternoon. By later this evening, temperatures will dip into the 30s with sub-freezing temperatures possible after midnight.

Drizzle and very light showers will also develop after midnight, mainly across far eastern Oklahoma. This may lead to patchy slick spots on roadways, particularly, bridges and overpasses. Most of the precipitation will taper off by Monday afternoon.

Less than a tenth of an inch of icing is possible. The main areas affected will be east-central Oklahoma.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from midnight to 4 p.m. Monday for Cherokee and Adair counties. Elsewhere, a glaze of ice may occur on elevated surfaces, creating some slick conditions for the Monday morning commute.

The other issue will be the frigid temperatures and wind chill values. With actual temperatures in the 20s Monday morning, wind chill values may be in the upper teens. This will come as a big shock after near record high temperatures over the last few days.
