The Humane Society of Tulsa hopes some adoptable pets will be home for the holidays - so they're hosting a special adoption event Saturday, December 6.

The Ho Ho Holiday event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second floor of Woodland Hills Mall in front of Eskimo Joe's. Joe and Buffy will be there for photos from 12 to 2 p.m., and every dog that is adopted with receive a new pet bandana from the store.

Eskimo Joe's also has Adopt and Rescue T-shirts for sale, and the Humane Society receives a percentage of each shirt sold. While you're at the mall, purchase a plush puppy at Raising Cane's in the Food Court, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the animal shelter.

The agency is also asking for donations of collars, rawhides, Kongs, milkbones, toys, bath towels, kitty littler, puppy pads, fleece blankets, dog and cat beds.

If you can't make the special event, the Humane Society is located at 6232 East 60th Street in Tulsa. Call 918-495-3647 to speak with a pet adoption counselor.
