Students at Tulsa's Little Light House spent part of their day meeting their new service dog, Abby.
She is a 6-year-old Smooth Collie who is changing careers from being an active herding dog to helping children.
Abby will help children by helping them balance when they're learning to walk, fetching balls when they're learning to throw, and can be a calming influence.
"Dogs and therapy services can be really enhanced by just the nature of the dog being there, because they'll do something for a dog that they might not do for a therapist or a teacher," said June Wilson of the Little Light House.
Coffeyville Community College students raised money to buy Abby and pay for training.
