Members of the 59th Forward Engineer Support Team-Advance cased their colors in late November in preparation for their re-deployment back to the Tulsa District of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The unit was deployed in May 2014 to Afghanistan for a nine-month tour in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The soldiers were responsible for supporting three regional commands from the borders of Iran in the west to Pakistan in the east.

“The team completed over 70 design and construction projects totaling over $15 million and never turned down a project,” Major Christopher Jones, the FEST-A commander said.

The unit is scheduled to return to Tulsa in December.
