An alert from Google to Oklahoma law enforcement landed a 33-year-old Muskogee man in jail Wednesday for possession of child pornography.

The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office told MuskogeeNow and the Muskogee Phoenix, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crime Against Child Task Force received a tip that Michael Gonzales was uploading child pornography images into his Google email account.

The OSBI then told the sheriff's office, which began their investigation.

Wednesday, deputies searched Gonzales' home west of town and seized his computer and cell phone. They arrested Gonzales at his work.

Muskogee Sheriff's Office Captain Richard Slader told MuskogeeNow Gonzales "was collecting pornographic photos of "very young" females on his phone."

Investigator Melissa Jackson also told the news website, Google "locked down his account so he couldn't access it, and then they notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They notified the OSBI." She told the newspaper, they got a warrant and Google turned over a thousand emails to the sheriff's office.

Michael Gonzales was booked into the Muskogee County jail on complaints of aggravated possession and distribution of child pornography and violating Oklahoma's computer crimes act.
