TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa Police are investigating the discovery of a man's body in a downtown Tulsa street.

They got the first report about the body at about 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Police initially said a vehicle struck and killed the man as he crossed Cheyenne next to the Mayo Hotel near 5th Street. They now say they believe the 43-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the Mayo Hotel.

Police said they found surveillance video that shows the man on the roof of the hotel.

Officers closed Cheyenne between 4th and 5th streets for several hours Wednesday as they tried to determine what happened.
