4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded Near Cherokee

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Cherokee, Oklahoma, early Thursday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, this earthquake was recorded at 1:53 a.m. Its epicenter was located 17 miles east of Cherokee, and 26 miles north, northwest of Enid.

It was about three miles deep.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported.
