Tulsa students are preparing for the careers of tomorrow, starting while they're still in elementary school. 

Mitchell Elementary School was the only school in Oklahoma to get a $10,000 award to help students learn computer programming.

They'll have technology at their fingertips thanks to Code.org, a non-profit campaign to get computer science in classrooms across the country.

Hundreds of students at Mitchell Elementary have already started learning how to write computer code, and with the $10,000 grant, the school will buy 30 new computer to continue their education.

"Our kids got really excited about it, and it's always good to see them excited - and we need the new technology," said teacher Katy Blair.

The school plans to buys three robots as well, that will be used to teach computer programming.
