The city of Broken Arrow says a member of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce died in a rollover crash Tuesday night.

Police said Michaelena Taylor, 43, was eastbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Corvette on Houston just west of 225th East Avenue when it left the road at a curve, struck a drainage culvert and rolled over.

Officers said Taylor was pinned in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:37 p.m.

Police said they haven't determined what caused the crash. They said Taylor was wearing a seat belt and the car's air bags deployed.

Taylor was Vice President of Government Affairs for the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce.  The chamber issued the following statement about her death:

"Today, Broken Arrow lost someone who was not only a tremendous asset for our community, but a wonderful person. We are all deeply saddened by her passing.

Mickie Taylor had an unrivaled passion for her hometown and worked tirelessly to grow and improve it.

Her zeal for life and her high-energy approach to work will be sorely missed.

In her role as Vice President of Government Affairs, Mickie played a crucial role in many of the developments in Broken Arrow these past years. Her ability to connect with elected and other community leaders was unrivaled and played an undeniable role in helping facilitate a number of economic development initiatives during her time with the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce.

The members, board and staff of the Chamber express and send their condolences to her children and family."
