OHP Captures Stolen Vehicle Suspect After Chase

A man has been arrested after authorities say he led state troopers on a chase, then crashed near southwest Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a man who led troopers on a chase, then crashed near southwest Tulsa.

About 10 a.m., the Creek County Sheriff's Office put out a bulletin about a stolen vehicle. An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper said he spotted the vehicle in the 7300 block of Cottonwood, then observed the driver get into another vehicle, a maroon sedan.

In the maroon car, the man led the OHP on a pursuit parallel to the railroad tracks along Frankhoma Boulevard, troopers said.

The chase stopped when he wrecked the car near 64th West Avenue and Southwest Boulevard.

His name has not been released yet, but he was taken to a hospital for treatment for injuries in the wreck, the OHP said.
