University of Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator Josh Heupel confirms he's been let go.

In a tweet sent out Tuesday morning, Heupel released the following statement:

"It has been an honor to be a part of The University of Oklahoma for 14 years. Oklahomans and Sooner fans have embraced me as a coach and as a player, including that magical National Championship season. My wife Dawn and I are eternally grateful to the OU players and the Norman community. I am thankful for the many friendships we have formed and also our nonprofit The #14 Foundation, that has helped children in need across the State of Oklahoma. We will always cherish our time in Norman and look forward to new opportunities."

Coach Bob Stoops is expected to make a formal announcement at a news conference scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday.

News9.com and NewsOn6.com will live-stream the news conference.

Oklahoma City viewers can watch the conference live on News 9. Regular programming will be available on KSBI Channel 52, Cox 707 as the conference starts.
