Police Arrest Man Connected To North Cheyenne Shooting

Tulsa police located and arrested a man wanted for shooting another man earlier this week.

Thursday, Tulsa Police named 40-year-old Johnny Ingram as a person of interest in the shooting of a 29-year-old man in the 1600 block of North Cheyenne.

Walker said Ingram was located and taken into custody without incident at the Western Pines Apartments at 4:45 Friday afternoon.

According to walker, the 29-year-old victim was shot in the head and chest during an argument over his girlfriend at a home in the 1600 block of North Cheyenne.

EMSA took the victim to the hospital. Police say the victim was talking to officers en route to the hospital. He underwent surgery and police believe he will survive.

The name of the victim has not been released.

The investigation is still ongoing according to Walker.

He said the gun and truck used are still missing and that there were at least two other people with Ingram the night of the shooting that have not been identified.
