Drinking From The Tap: Tulsa's Award-Winning Water
TULSA, Oklahoma - For the second straight year, Tulsa claimed the award for the best tasting water at a regional conference, making it okay to put down the bottled water and drink it out of the tap.
Many people think that bottled water is cleaner, more pure, and taste better than tap water.
On average, people buy 50 billion bottles of water each year.
Some people buy water for taste, when instead they can get it for free. At a recent American Water Works conference they held a taste test. "There were about half a dozen samples submitted for this taste test, and for the second year in a row Tulsa won," said Clayton Edwards, head of Tulsa's water department.
Tulsa's water is not only tasty, but safe to drink as well. "We meet all the federal and state regulations; we provide our customers with safe reliable drinking water," stated Edwards.
Whether the water is out of a machine, or a water fountain, when you are in Tulsa you can drink the tap water. It's award-winning.
