Federal prosecutors amended the charges against the former CEO of Arrow Trucking Tuesday, just a day before a change of plea hearing in the case.

According to the superseding information filed against him on February 3, 2015, James Douglas "Doug" Pielsticker faces only two charges now.

He was originally charged with 23 counts including fraud and tax evasion, but now he faces one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and to commit bank fraud, as well as one count of tax evasion.

The change comes just a day before Pielsticker is scheduled to attend a change of plea hearing in federal court on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

Pielsticker pleaded not guilty to the 23 original counts in December.

Pielsticker was arrested in Dallas earlier in December, five years after the company he ran suddenly closed down, stranding truck drivers across the country.

According to the new counts filed against him on Tuesday, Pielsticker and his co-conspirators did not pay to the government the income tax money withheld from Arrow Trucking Company employees in 2009.

The second count accuses Pielsticker of failing to pay income tax on the extra income prosecutors say he received through the conspiracy.

According to court documents, Arrow's former Chief Financial Officer, Jonathan Leland Moore, accepted a plea deal in December and pleaded guilty one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and to commit bank fraud.

He's scheduled to be sentenced on March 12, 2015.
