Hillcrest Newborns Help Raise Awareness For Women's Heart Health

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Across the country, Friday was tabbed “Go Red for Women Day” to increase awareness about women's heart health.

People across the country are wearing red to show their support.

And before they've even left the hospital nursery, newborns at Hillcrest are helping out as well by wearing red knitted caps.

Their moms also got information about caring for their hearts.

The American Heart Association says heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, affects more women than men and kills more women than all forms of cancer combined.
