The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a driver and her passenger after a high speed chase on the Creek Turnpike and Bixby late Sunday.

Troopers said the chase began just after 11 p.m. when the OHP spotted 2007 Chevy Impala pass through a toll plaza without paying at a high rate of speed.

They said the chase wound its way through Bixby before ending near 139th Street Street and South Mingo.

The OHP says the driver, April Sparks, 34, of Tulsa got out of the car and ran but was arrested by Tulsa County deputies a short distance away. Sparks was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of eluding, reckless driving, failure to pay toll and driving without her driver's license.

Her passenger, Jensen Grove, 22, of Owasso was booked into jail on outstanding warrants for failure to pay fines and court costs from a 2011 conviction.

Troopers said speeds during the chase average around 105 mph.
