Police Work Multiple Crashes On Snowy Tulsa Highways

TULSA, Oklahoma - Slick streets are to blame for several crashes on Tulsa area highways Monday. 

Tulsa Police said one crash happened on Highway 169 near 91st Street South. Officers said a car headed west onto the Creek Turnpike hit a slick spot, struck a center median wall, bounced off and came to rest in oncoming traffic. 

EMSA said paramedics treated one person in the car. No word on how severe the injuries were.

Tulsa Police said another crash on the northeast corner of the IDL in downtown Tulsa sent a person to the hospital just before noon. 

Officers said two cars were merging when one swerved to the miss the other and the driver lost control at Highway 75 and 2nd Street. The car rolled onto its top. 

Tulsa firefighters closed several lanes of the IDL while they cleaned up the wreckage. EMSA took the driver to the hospital. Again, no word on the extent of the driver's injuries.
