Tulsa Crews Work To Clear City Streets

The City of Tulsa reports that crews will be working through the night to clear city streets. Afternoon crews came on at noon, relieving the overnight crews that were on arterial streets through this morning.

"Arterial streets are passable, but we ask motorists remain cautious and be mindful of your distance between City snow plows and trucks," said City spokesperson Michelle Allen.

Tulsa has 63 truck-mounted salt spreaders, 46 of those with snow plow blades. They also have seven pickups equipped with snow plows.

Winter plow routes are prioritized based on traffic counts and whether they access facilities like hospitals.
