Child Critical After Vehicle Crashes Into OKC Apartment

OKC police have confirmed a driver lost control on ice and crashed into an apartment in the 7800 block of Lyrewood Lane on Sunday night, injuring a child inside the residence.

According to reports, the 7-year-old girl was trapped under the vehicle and EMSA confirmed she was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police said the driver was going too fast and hit a slick spot, and he ran away after the crash was caught a few minutes later by police.
