A Lindsay, Oklahoma, man turned himself into authorities after he reportedly shot and killed another man and kidnapped a woman in Sulphur, Oklahoma, Friday evening.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, at about 7 p.m., the suspect, 35-year-old Justin Ray Smith, forced his way into a woman's home in the 300 block of W. 13th Street in Sulphur.

At gunpoint, agents said Smith forced 40-year-old Randale Lee Hokett of Ardmore and the woman into Hokett's pickup truck. Smith then drove the victims to Veterans Lake near Sulphur, where he shot and killed Hokett.

According to the OSBI, Smith parked the truck with Hokett's body inside near the 1200 block of Atoka Street in Sulphur. He reportedly then picked up his own vehicle and drove the woman to the Sulphur Police Department, where he made her call 911 at about midnight.

Smith, authorities said, turned himself in at the Lindsay Police Department. He was transported to the Garvin County Sheriff's office, where OSBI agents interviewed him and arrested him on multiple complaints, including murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, and rape.

Multiple agencies, including the OSBI, Sulphur police, Murray County Sheriff's Office, and Garvin County Sheriff's Office, are working together to investigate this case.

A motive for the crime is unclear at this time.
