STRINGTOWN, Oklahoma - Department of Corrections officials say a convicted murderer from Tulsa is one of two men who escaped early Monday from an Atoka County prison.

Lance Colbert, 40, and Dewayne Motsenbocker, 54, of Oklahoma City, cut their way through a fence at the medium security prison in Stringtown, authorities say.

Colbert is serving two life sentences for two first-degree murder convictions in Tulsa County in 1994. Motsenbocker was serving time for robbery with a firearm out of Oklahoma County. He was set to be released in 2016. Prison records show Motsenbocker escaped four times prior to Monday's escape.

In 1993, Colbert was arrested and charged with the shooting deaths of Benny Calloway, 23, and Richard May, 16, after a fight over playing rap music too loud inside a home.

Mack Alford Prison officials found a hole cut in the fence at 7:35 a.m., and a head count showed both men missing.

Prison officials said they have blurry surveillance video of what appears to be someone throwing an item over the fence late Sunday.

If you have any information about either one of these men your asked to call 911 immediately.
