An earthquake shook up residents near Medford, Okla., in Grant County, Saturday morning.

The 3.1 magnitude quake struck at approximately 8:57 a.m.

Its epicenter was located eight miles southeast of Medford, 26 miles north northeast of Enid, and 30 miles west of Ponca City at a depth of about two miles.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with this earthquake.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
