Tulsa Police: Burglary Suspect Claims To Be In Own Home

Police arrested a 21-year-old man they found inside a west Tulsa home that wasn't his Tuesday morning.

Officers were sent to the home in the 5300 block of West 8th Street near Charles Page Boulevard just after 4 a.m. after a resident called saying a man had broken into the home.

Police said they found Daniel Duarte sitting on a bed. Police Cpl. Dan Miller said a K-9 officer bit Duarte on the leg and hand. EMSA took him to a hospital.

The residents said the man broke out the glass in a rear door and crawled inside. Police said Duarte appeared to be intoxicated and claimed to be in his own home.
