TULSA, Oklahoma -

Here's your chance to learn more about the members of the News On 6 team who bring you the news every day. Next up is anchor Erin Conrad. Erin joined News On 6 in 2014 as a reporter and will anchor 6 In The Morning Saturday and Sunday, which debuts on April 4, 2015.

1. What was your first job in television news?

I worked as a Multi-Media reporter at KTEN in Denison, Texas. It's a small town just south of the Red River.

I covered news from Ada, Oklahoma all the way over to McCurtain County down to Paris, Texas and then back over to Denison. While there I moved my way up to evening anchor/producer for the ABC and CW affiliates (The station was NBC, ABC and the CW). Let's just say I did a little bit of everything!

2. You have 15 minutes of free time, what do you do?

If I ever get this elusive thing called “free time” I spend it with my miniature schnauzer Gryffin! He's a ball of energy and can't wait for me to get home and play fetch with his favorite toys.

Being a "dog mom" is probably the closest thing to a hobby I've got, other than "avid Netflix watcher".

3. What's in the console of your car?

Loose change, old sunglasses, lots of hand sanitizer, and (cringe) several of those green coffee cup stopper sticks you get from Starbucks. I'm not sure why I ever keep those.

4. What's your hidden talent?

Hmmm. This one's tough. I can't juggle or anything cool like that. I can bust a move pretty well, although I rarely get the opportunity to dance.

I can recite all of the lines word for word when watching the Harry Potter movies, that's probably more of a "hidden" talent because I don't often admit that!

5. What was your high school mascot?

The Clear Lake Falcons!! Go Lake!

6. How would you describe Tulsa to someone who's never been here?

Well, that's easy for me. Before I interviewed at News On 6, I am sad to say I had never been to Tulsa and boy was I missing out. This is the hidden gem of Oklahoma. Great food, great atmosphere, great outdoor activities. If you want to do it, Tulsa has it, without the inconvenience of BIG cities. The only difference between big cities and Tulsa is traffic and overcrowding. This city hosts a great music scene. If you want to see a big name or an up and coming artist, you can see them here. We have the river parks and trails, Turkey mountain, The Brady Arts District, Downtown, Brookside, Cherry Street, Midtown, and more! I don't want to go on and on, but I've just had a blast in this town. Every family member and friend I can get to come visit me says the same. They LOVE Tulsa and can't wait to come back!
