There's more reason for baseball fans around Green Country to consider bleeding Dodger blue. The Drillers opened their first season as an affiliate of the parent club in Los Angeles.

Thursday night, ONEOK Field returned back to being a baseball field for the series against the San Antonio Missions.

Ron Cey was in the house signing autographs, and Dodger shirts and hats were all over ONEOK.

As for the game, the big bat belonged to Ali Solis. In the second inning, Solis snagged a double, smashing it over left field for a two-run homer, helping the Drillers take a 4-2 lead.

Solis only got the start after originally scheduled catcher Chris O'Brien was traded just hours before the game. Solis continued to prove that he was worthy of the start, slamming an RBI double to increase the Drillers lead 6-2.

The Drillers went on to dominate, finishing with a 10-4 win over San Antonio.
