Flood Advisories Issued For Some Oklahoma Counties

Flash flood warnings have been issued for Muskogee, Pittsburg, Latimer, Haskell and McIntosh counties through 7:30 p.m. The National Weather Service has also issued flood advisories through 4:30 p.m. for several Oklahoma counties.

News On 6 WARN Team meteorologist Alan Crone said rain is possible every day this week.

"A surface front is located across northern Oklahoma this morning and is moving southward. Pockets of moderate rainfall should occur along and behind the boundary as it moves southward early this morning. Active weather will remain for the next few days," said WARN Team meteorologist Alan Crone.

Chances are very favorable for rain throughout the week. On Tuesday, a disturbance now located to our southwest will lift northeast.

"Some additional shower and thunderstorm chances will remain in the forecast for this approaching wave," Crone said in his weather blog.

"This means Tuesday will have a chance of some showers and storms in the forecast despite some of the operational models keeping us dry. Tuesday night the first wave is exiting the region, and we'll be able to keep very low mentions for Wednesday and Thursday. A lot of folks will remain dry during this period."
