Quintin's older sister, Valerie Wood-Harber, fought for an investigation into his death. Although Quintin died of pneumonia, Valerie said it was because of neglect.

In January of 2014, Valerie started a petition to urge Oklahoma's Governor Mary Fallin to call for an investigation.

Quintin was special needs, he had ring 9 chromosome. He was not getting the care he needed from his father. Instead, the responsibility was given to his 14-year-old brother Cameron.

Valerie tried to report her brothers neglect on different occasions to both DHS and the boys schools, but no one checked until it was too late.

DHS supervisor Paul Myers pleaded guilty to the felony charges of willful neglect to perform a duty of public trust and computer fraud. He was sentenced to three years in prison.
