One day after a rainout, the rain returned to Principal Park Sunday afternoon, but held off long enough for the Oklahoma City Dodgers to beat the Iowa Cubs, 4-0, before the game was called in the sixth inning.

The teams were pulled off the field with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the sixth. After a delay of one hour and four minutes, the game was officially ruled complete.

The Dodgers (8-2) have now won four straight games and have matched the franchise's best start through 10 games since joining the Pacific Coast League in 1998. It's also the team's second shutout of the season.

The Dodgers struck quickly, taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Darwin Barney hit a double off the fence in left field, and two batters later, Kyle Jensen roped a single to score Barney and put OKC in front.

The game remained a 1-0 contest until the sixth inning. With the bases loaded and two out, Iowa reliever Armando Rivera uncorked a wild pitch that allowed Jensen to score.

Later in the same at-bat, pinch-hitter Matt Carson lined a two-run double to left field to make it a 4-0 advantage.

A pair of walks followed Carson's double, loading the bases again. That's when heavy rain started to fall, forcing the teams off the field as the grounds crew put the tarp on.

OKC Dodgers starting pitcher Joe Wieland turned in a strong start before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the sixth. Wieland (2-0) allowed just two hits over five scoreless innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

It's the fourth shutout of Wieland's career, and his first since first since throwing a no-hitter for Double-A Frisco on July 29, 2011.

Iowa (4-5) put only two runners in scoring position against Wieland and went 0-for-3.

I-Cubs starting pitcher Barret Loux picked up the loss. Loux (0-1) gave up one run and three hits over five innings of work. He struck out five and walked three.

The Dodgers and I-Cubs finish their series with a doubleheader consisting of two, seven-inning games beginning at 12:08 p.m. Monday afternoon.
