The bodies were found in an apartment in the back of a strip club and an adult toy store on Highway 69. The Coco Bongos club entrance is surrounded by yellow crime tape.

Officials told News On 6 that an over-the-road truck driver who lives in another one of the apartments came home from a job on Sunday at about 4:30 p.m. and found the bodies.

An employee at Christie's Toy Box said the truck driver ran inside the store yelling that people were dead, so she went next door to look. She said she saw a man's body and left. The truck driver told her a woman's body was in another room tied up and both had been shot execution style, she said.

Investigators would not confirm the genders of the two dead, but said they likely are in their 20s.

"The guy who rents the apartment came running in the store, and I had customers in the store," Debra Mincks said. "And he's yelling at the top of his lungs, hysterical that everybody in the apartment is dead and he had just shown up and found them."

It is unknown how long the two people were dead inside the apartment, but deputies believe it was less than 12 hours.

The medical examiner will determine official cause of death. Investigators still are processing the scene, which they are handling as a double homicide.

Muskogee County Sheriff Charles Pearson said the area technically is a business district. There's about four businesses along the stretch. This weekend, business traffic was high, so with employees and customers coming and going, the sheriff said the investigation is far from over.
