Tulsa Kmart To Close Mid-July; Liquidation Sales Start In May

Kmart confirmed today it's closing the store near 51st and Harvard in Tulsa.

The store begins a liquidation sale on May 17, and the doors will close for good in mid-July.

There are 51 employees -- mostly part-time -- who work at the store.

Kmart said it is offering severance and the opportunity to apply for open positions at other Sears or K-mart stores in the area.

    The attorney for the Oklahoma Department of Health has resigned effective immediately, an official for the department confirmed to News 9. Julie Ezell resigned on Friday, days after the department adopted rules for the implementation of medical marijuana across the state. There was no indication why Ezell resigned.
