CATOOSA, Oklahoma -

A fiery wreck involving a pickup closed the eastbound Highway 412/Interstate 44 exit to northbound Route 66 Wednesday afternoon.

Images from Osage SkyNews 6 HD show the truck lying on its side on the ramp and traffic backed up onto Highway 412/Interstate 44.

A woman who was in a vehicle behind the truck said it hit the guardrail then rolled over, spilling a can of gasoline which ignited and engulfed the truck in flames.

She told News On 6 she called 911 as two other men stopped their vehicles and ran to the truck to help. As they struggled to get the doors open and break the glass, the man in the truck kicked out a window and they helped him crawl out.

She said a nurse arrived and helped the man until first responders could get there. The man had scrapes and burns but was otherwise OK.
