Police are searching for two suspects involved in a trailer theft, carjacking and much more in Wagoner County and Broken Arrow.

A third suspect, Billy Simpson, surrendered to police Thursday afternoon during a standoff near Forest Ridge Golf Club.

It ended peacefully, but police are still hunting for another man and woman involved in the series of crimes.

Police said the thieves stole a trailer from a house nearby, then they wrecked the truck they were driving, carjacked someone else, wrecked that car then ran in opposite directions.

It all started at Don Jenkins home in Broken Arrow, when his wife saw a man in the backyard.

“She looked through the windows in the back and there was some guy looking through," Jenkins said.

She looked in her front yard and saw two men and a woman taking a trailer. Jenkins said he tried to catch them when, about a mile up the road, he found his trailer sitting near a home.

“It was very hard to find that trailer and I would have gotten upset if I didn't get it back. They did some damage to it so I will have to fix that,” Jenkins said.

The suspects were all gone and the truck they were driving was left behind.

“The back of the truck was filled with guns, a safe, compound bow," said Jenkins.

Police said the suspects wrecked the truck, so they carjacked another driver and fired shots. Officer said they wrecked that car near Forest Ridge Golf Club.

That's when police said Simpson ran into a building and barricaded himself inside. The SWAT team surrounded the building and eventually convinced him to surrender.

With one person in custody, the SWAT team moved to a home about a mile away from the golf course, where the female suspect was believed to be hiding, but after canvassing the house she was nowhere to be found.

With two suspects still on the run, Jenkins said he's not worried.

“It doesn't worry me but it worries my wife, and I have a gun under my pillow and will use it if I have to,” he said.

Jenkins did say his wife also spotted someone driving either a dirt bike or motorcycle that appeared to be with the thieves.

Police were not able to confirm that.
