Three Intoxicated Canoers Rescued At Lake Eufaula

PITTSBURG COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Three people were arrested after a water rescue at Lake Eufaula late Saturday night as severe weather swept through Green Country. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers were called to the Carlton Landing area just after 11 p.m. after being notified there were people lost and stranded in a canoe.

A trooper found three intoxicated people in a canoe near Ski Run, a news release states. Their names were not available.

They were placed under arrest and taken to the Pittsburg County Jail, according to Trooper Jeremy Tolman.
