Man Tells Tulsa Police He Was Shot With Uzi In Robbery Attempt

Police are investigating after a man was shot overnight in South Tulsa. Police say the victim walked into the Quik Trip near 71st and Mingo, saying he'd been shot.

The wounded man told officers a man armed with an Uzi came up to him, demanding money, at the nearby Stonegate Village Apartments.

Police say the victim said he was shot was shot in the leg as he tried to run away. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say he wasn't able to give them a good description of the shooter.
