Two kids rode their bicycles to a fire station to get help when they spotted a home on fire just before midnight Saturday in the 3100 block of West 40th Street.

Tulsa Fire Equipment Operator Bryan Garrett said the fire was in a bedroom of the home. Crews were able to knock it out quickly, he said.

"We've been mopping up, putting out hot spots and making sure it didn't get into the attic," Garrett said.

The residents were away from the home at the time of the fire. No one was injured.

The house had a flooded basement, but that didn't interfere in the fire attack, the firefighter said. It was a safety concern, however, he said.

Investigators were on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
