Tulsa's history with floods is part of an exhibit in Washington D.C.
Summer vacationers can see why Tulsa managed May's record rainfall so well at the National Building Museum.
From flooding to tornadoes, hurricanes to earthquakes, visitors can explore new approaches in design and engineering to protect life and property from natural disasters.
It includes photos and documents provided by Tulsa Partners, along with a film highlighting Tulsa's history of flooding and the city's internationally renowned flood control program.
The designing for disaster multi-media exhibit runs through September 13th.
