Tulsa Police: Victims Tackle Drunk Driver After Crash

Victims captured a 24-year-old man after they say he crashed into four vehicles while driving drunk - then tried to run from the scene.

Tulsa Police arrested a 24-year-old man after they say he crashed into four vehicles while driving drunk - then tried to run from police. Some of his victims were able to capture him.

It around 11 p.m. Monday near East 21st and Highway 169.

Police say Limber Montejo-Rodriguez struck four vehicles around 21st Street before crashing. The crash caused the vehicle he was in to roll.

No one was injured in the crashes. Police say this was very lucky, as one of the vehicles had a family of five inside,

Police say when they arrived at the crash Montejo-Rodriguez had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Authorities say he attempted to run but was tackled by two of the victims he hit.

Witnesses at the scene ran over to help capture Montejo-Rodriguez when he tried to run off.

"They were struggling; they were wrestling around, and as soon as I told him 'hey' you know 'don't move, don't move - just calm down' and after that happened the cops were here and they took over," said Ryker Anderson.

Montejo-Rodriguez was arrested on several offenses.. including DUI and driving without a license.

His bond was set at $22,000.
