Thieves target a midtown home not once, but twice, in the span of only a few days.

Tulsa Police said back-to-back break-ins are uncommon, and someone has to be watching the person who lives in the home near 36th and Utica.

Tim Price said the second time around the burglars left boxes packed with his things in the garage. That leaves him wondering if they were planning to come back a third time.

"They opened all the drawers and pulled everything out of them, and that's where some of my private documents were. And then they pulled out all my clothes out of the closet,” he said.

Burglars hit Price's home while he was gone over the weekend. They took shirts, shoes, electronics and even his passport and tax records.

He found his home ransacked Monday, then, Tuesday he went to work, came home and, once again, found more of his things were gone.

Price suspects the burglars got off with $10,000 of his belongings.

"I don't know how they knew, or if they just got lucky," he said.

Tulsa Police said someone must be watching him - what he's doing and where he's going.

Price just moved to Tulsa two months ago, so some of his stuff is still packed.

"I had TVs. I had a full surround sound system that wasn't hooked up yet, it was still in a box and everything. So I made it easy for them, I just had it ready for them to take," he said.

They also stole an ATV flatbed trailer.

"Basically had metal siding, kind of a cage on one side,” Price said. “It turned into a ramp with a diamond back tool case on the front."

Being hit twice in a few days' time is alarming enough, but Price thinks they had a third burglary planned because some of his unpacked moving boxes had been packed again.

"I slept with my weapon last night,” he said. “Was waiting for them to come back. You know, because they were actually obviously, going to come back for a third time because they had stuff ready to be taken."

Police think the thieves probably live in the area and have been watching his habits.

Investigators suggest leaving lights or a television on to make your home look lived in all the time.
