Business is suffering at Oologah Lake. Normally, on a day like today, there would be hundreds of people on the water.

But last month's heavy rains forced the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to close boat ramps and swimming beaches.

As the water rose, sales fell.

Red Bud Marina's owner says he's down 60 percent so far, but he's optimistic.

"The water is going down, the gates are open, we're gonna have a good season and it'll all work out," Michael Fawcett said.

Oologah Lake is about 20 feet higher than this time last year.
