Jacob Evans Makes Pro Debut

Former Sooner Jacob Evans will make his pro debut Friday night for the State College Spikes.

Jacob Evans will make his pro debut Friday night for the State College Spikes.

The Broken Arrow graduate joined the Spikes after the Cardinals drafted him in the sixth round. The Spikes are a minor league team that plays in the New York-Penn League.

Evans says he's already in touch with the Cardinals philosophies. “It's all about the winning way is what I can tell, just the small things, doing [them] right [and] showing up to the yard every day just ready to play [and] ready to get your job done," he said. "Just being around so far, the guys are pretty cool." 

Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. against Williamsport.
