Owasso Police have reopened 129th Street between 76th Street North and 86th Street North after a driver crashed into a power pole.

Witnesses say firefighters quickly pulled the injured man from the truck after he crashed into the utility pole in the area of 76th Street North and 129th East Avenue in Owasso.

Power lines fell across the truck which then caught on fire.

Nearby resident Chris Wheeler said police quickly were on scene to close off the roadway. Ambulance crews took the driver to the hospital where he was treated and released, according to Owasso Police.

Firefighters had to wait to put the fire out until the Public Service of Oklahoma shut off power to the lines that fell on the truck, police say. Drivers were urged to avoid the area.
