Volunteers Help Feed The Hungry At Community Food Bank Of Eastern Oklahoma

The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is on a mission to feed the hungry residents of Oklahoma. Several members of the News On 6 team were at the Food Bank Saturday helping to sort through and box up products that will go to help those in need.

Craig Day, Rich Lenz, Dave Davis, along with several of our behind-the-scenes folks joined with other volunteers to box up items such as toothpaste, toilet paper, and soap.

Volunteer manager Parks Lanford says it's not just about feeding the belly but also the soul.

"A lot of people are going through a lot of things. Flooding. The storms. There are a lot of people that are displaced. And when you are displaced, you need not only food to fill your belly, but something to make you feel good," said Parks Lanford, Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
