An earthquake shook up resident near Pawnee, Okla., in Pawnee County, Sunday afternoon.
The 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 12:51 p.m.
Its epicenter was located five miles southwest of Pawnee, 16 miles northeast of Stillwater, and 31 miles south southeast of Ponca City at a depth of about three miles.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with this earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
