Jenks Rock And Rescue Event Connects Pets With New Homes

Saturday was a great day to get out and adopt a new best friend - or maybe two. The Rock and Rescue event took place at the Riverwalk in Jenks.

The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals sponsors the event to bring together different animal rescue groups for a giant adoption day. They also offered $20 microchipping.

On Saturday afternoon, the organization said it was able to place 40 animals, and expects that the final numbers will be closer to 60.
