The Oklahoma state school superintendent is spending part of her summer working on a new program that will give Oklahoma parents the same training as teachers.

It's called Engage OK.

It will be in Oklahoma City next week, and parents can go through the free sessions alongside teachers and school leaders from across the state.

"We will have over 200 breakout sessions for specific areas of interest from different members of districts, whether they are dealing with reading strategies or anti-bullying prevention strategies,” state superintendent Joy Hofmeister said. “There are options for parents to be informed of new updates with the new laws that have been passed that will impact them at home.”

Engage OK is next July 7-9. More than 5,000 people already have signed up, and you can do so by clicking here.
