Safe Kids Tulsa says shows like FreedomFest are the best way for families to enjoy fireworks.

The organization says they’ve learned more than 4,100 children, 19 and younger, are injured by fireworks in many ways.

They say sparklers are especially dangerous since many children’s arms aren’t long enough to keep sparklers at a safe distance.

Those sparks get up to 1,200 degrees, which is hot enough to melt some metals.
