When a Florida burglary suspect went before a judge Thursday, he didn't expect to find a familiar face.

Arthur Booth appeared in a Miami bond court Thursday on grand theft and burglary charges, reports CBS Miami. That's when Judge Mindy Glazer recognized him as a former classmate.

"Did you go to Nautilus for middle school?" Glazer asked.

Booth's emotional reaction was captured on video. He repeatedly said, "Oh my goodness," grabbed his head and cried.

"I'm sorry to see you there. I always wondered what happened to you, sir. This was the nicest kid in middle school," Glazer said.

According to NBC Miami, Booth, 49, was arrested Monday by police in Hialeah. Citing an arrest report, the station reports he was spotted driving a gold Honda Accord suspected to be tied to a home burglary.

When an officer tried to pull Booth over, he allegedly fled, launching a police pursuit. He reportedly ran stop signs and was involved in two accidents before fleeing on foot. He was arrested a short time later.

Glazer wished Booth well, but ordered him held on $43,000 bond, reports the station.

"Good luck to you sir. I hope you're able to come out of this okay and just lead a lawful life," Glazer said.
