Caney, Kansas officials say the town’s decreased water levels have gone up, but the mandatory boil order and rationing remain in effect on Saturday.
The City of Caney says it is working toward a solution and drinking water is available at city hall. Residents must bring their own containers to fill.
According to a city spokesperson, aside from the boil order, there should be no lawn watering, filling pools or car washing.
Storm tracker Pascal van Schijndel reports the issue started because the water plant is out of service due to an intake issue.
