GROVE, Oklahoma - A high performance boat race will be held this coming weekend on Grand Lake.

Organizers say the first annual Performance Boat Challenge Shootout will offer two days of family friendly fun combined with high speed boat races.

The shootout begins with a VIP night Friday, July 10 at the Grove Civic Center as captains and crews display their boats.  On Saturday, the day will begin with a boat parade by land featuring these expensive high performance boats.

Starting at 11 a.m. and running until 4 p.m. those same boats will participate in timed racing events from Wolf Creek Park to Reeds Point on Grand Lake.

Organizers expect some 60 boats to take part in the Performance Boat Challenge Shootout.
