4.2 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded In Alfalfa County

Residents near Helena, Okla. felt a significant shake Friday evening.

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 6:09 p.m. Its epicenter was located just seven miles north northeast of Helena, 26 miles northwest of Enid, and 63 miles west of Ponca City. Its depth was over eight miles.

No injuries or damages have been reported at this time.
